The ultimate question that I have asked over and over again. Why did you get it if you weren't going to ride it. This question was in my mind again this weekend. My hubby, we'll call him K, brought the
Redline down (from our bedroom I might add, whole new post in itself) careful not to touch the walls, or the carpeted stairs, not even the tile in the kitchen. Holding the thing so it hovered over the floor. Started to go out to the garage to put it in the van and I thought he was going to have a spas attack. "I don't want to get the tires dirty,
ahhh!"Granted we were on our way to the
First Annual blah ba blah BMX blah. Ok, so it wasn't so boring that I could remember what it was called, I just don't remember. Back to my story. Yes, the tires are white, yes it is shiny and clean and sparkly chrome. But come on how dirty can it get from the house to the van? There were plenty of other guys that "rode" the bikes that they brought with them there. But there were also plenty that didn't. I just don't get it. I'm sure there are stipulations as to a bike that
shouldn't be ridden. Like, no brakes, no wheels, no handle bars, whatever, if its missing a vital part of the bike it makes sense. That I get. But these are fully functional, mostly new old stock old school
BMX bikes. Its not like they're made of gold. Well not all of them anyway. And for what its worth the guy with the gold bike, rides it. His unauthorized quote is "Built to be ridden.", so. Above is a pic of the
Redline, if you think that this looks familiar it probably is.
